COMPREHENSION
Read the passage carefully and answer the questions that follow. Please, use your words as much as possible.
The living planet is undergoing many transformations due to atmospheric instability. We are actually living in a world which promotes individual interest, to those of the community. People cut trees abusively, and factories continue to pollute our precious environment. To worsen the situation, bushfires are not helping matters.
This has led to many consequences like global warming, the constant increase of temperature on the surface of the earth, flooding, and drought. All these contribute to reduce and relent farmers activities, as their crops are destroyed by heavy rain fall, or acute sun.
Climate change is a complex situation, and difficult to predict it’s further impact on lives. Moreover, scientists believe that this calamity can affect our water resources, energy, transportation and health in future.
To fight the phenomenon, head of states have adopted many measures such as : the promotion of echo-agriculture, the sustainable management of forests by cutting and replanting trees. They recently held the twenty first and twenty second international conference on the climate in France and Morocco.(cop21 and cop22). All these actions, we hope, shall considerably reduce the negative effects of climate change.
